• During this 15-20 minute conversation, we’ll discuss the concerns for which you’re seeking therapy and whether my skills would offer you the best care.
    You are encouraged to ask questions about me, my practice, and my style to determine whether you think we might be a good fit. If we agree it makes sense to move forward, we will schedule an intake appointment.

    If either of us does not believe I’m quite the right therapist for you, I will be happy to provide some additional referrals to try to assist in you finding someone with the expertise to address your concerns.

  • During our initial intake appointment (90-110 mins), I will gather a detailed history to understand more about the problems you or your teen are experiencing. I will ask about your goals for treatment and share my initial thoughts on how we can work together to get you unstuck and feeling better.

  • We will take the next three to four sessions to further clarify our goals for therapy and I will provide additional information on what the therapy I provide entails. I typically also assign out of session work during our therapy. You get to decide whether our therapy and out of session work is a good fit for your life and what you are looking for.

  • From there, I typically see clients for weekly 50-min sessions. Some clients will elect to see me twice a week depending on treatment needs. Ongoing assessment will be a part of our work together to make sure we are serving your needs.
